Acadia Natl. Park

This post is unique in scope since it covers a relatively small National Park rather than a city or an entire country. I have posted about Yellowstone before, so there is precedent, but Yellowstone is easily a top 3 park in the US in both uniqueness and popularity. If I were to cover every national park I have been to, I’d have an entire novel to write. So why Acadia? I simply REALLY liked the photos I took on this weekend trip, and I wanted to share them, especially the Maine sunrise. So, less words, more pictures!

Patience rewarded me with some frog shots, one of which was in the process of losing its tadpole tail! Fun(?) fact: I am actually deathly afraid of frogs. It is my irrational fear.

And the piéce de resistance of the long weekend: seeing a coastal sunRISE for the first time of my life. California is blessed with the ocean sunsets which inspire reflection, but the hope-filled energy of a beautiful sunrise is a completely different feeling. This is a type of 5-AM wakeup I don’t mind.
