These days most watches are either digital or at least analog watches with a digital timekeeper. Pure mechanical watches are expensive antiquities only available in higher-end stores. In this project paper, I explore why that is. The intricacies of mechanical watch timekeeping are beautiful.
This was my first extensive practice with LaTeX. I’m rather in love with it now and will probably not revert to Word or Google Docs so long as I am not lazy. The formatting and equations are simply too clean. In my opinion, documents in LaTeX are inherently more trustworthy than others. All Free-Body-Diagrams were drawn using AutoCAD. I appreciated the opportunity to practice.
